Traineeship

Are you interested in a career as a research scientist or specialist? We offer a wide range of trainee opportunities for students from many different disciplines!

Our trainees get to work on diverse and meaningful research projects in areas such as soil and forest research, forest management, horticulture, plant health and recirculating aquaculture systems. The tasks will cover the different stages of the research process, from data collection to analysis and documentation of results.

We also offer several traineeships in areas such as statistical data collection and publication processes, data processing, communications, human resources and IT. The tasks may include processing data sets, producing content for different communication channels, writing user manuals or providing support services to internal clients.

The trainee period can be part of your studies or linked to your thesis work. As trainees, we recruit people who are still in the process of completing their studies leading to a degree.

Seasonal employment

Would you like to work on our unique research infrastructures around Finland? Come and join us for a seasonal position where you can combine practical work, learning and good company!

Our seasonal positions have been built around our research infrastructure, and they may involve the National Forest Inventory, forest breeding and graft production, crop production during the growing season, cowsheds, farms, migratory fish monitoring or other research assistant positions in our ongoing research projects.

Seasonal employees work as research assistants or research technicians, for example. We recruit both students who are still in the process of completing their studies and those who have already graduated.
