EU needs more from bioeconomy
The bioeconomy is essential for Europe’s competitiveness and resilience. To fully harness its potential, the EU must invest in research across the entire bioeconomy value chain. The Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) provides science-based insights to support decision-making and sustainable growth.

Luke as a research partner
Currently we are involved in about 80 EU-funded projects, of which 13 are Luke-led Horizon projects. We are constantly looking for new partnerships to build effective consortia to apply for research funding in our strategically important research themes.

Research Programmes
The research programmes have set their sights firmly on the future. They build Luke’s effectiveness in Finland and internationally and aim to have a societal impact.
